We are looking for a Printer to join our clients team of experts in the packaging industry. This will include maintaining and improving the safe delivery of OPP products in good condition. This role involves supporting customer requirements and performing printing duties as a back-up when needed. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of printing machines and ensuring high-quality print output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of printing machines (SIAT) including offset, letterset, and screen printers.
- Review client requests to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs.
- Determine quantities required for print jobs.
- Match colors for print jobs according to job requests.
- Align and configure machinery for optimal performance.
- Inspect random production samples to evaluate the quality of printings.
- Maintain inventory of supplies needed to operate printing machines.
- Troubleshoot issues with printing machines and perform basic repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on printing machines to ensure their longevity and efficiency.
- Draft and submit reports for daily production totals.
- Maintain a clean and organized area around printing machinery.
- Support the servicing of customer requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Perform printing duties as a back-up when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Printer or in a similar role within the packaging industry.
- Familiarity with operating various types of printing machines, including SIAT, offset, letterset, and screen printers.
- Strong understanding of color matching and printing processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on printing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new printing technologies and techniques.
