With a strong portfolio of developments, our client is continuing to expand and requires a dedicated, visionary Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to join their team and drive their investment strategy forward for the group.
Position Overview: As the Chief Investment Officer, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for shaping and executing their investment strategies to maximize returns and drive sustainable growth. You will manage the investment portfolio, providing strategic support, focusing on governance of financial and investment risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treasury: manage the debt facilities including, asset aquisition reporting, preparation of any investment commitee papers for complianceand strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the investment portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and risk management.
- Risk and investment Analysis: Establishing and implementing policies and procedures, trend analysis and forecasting financial performance and position
- Deal Sourcing: Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities in the property development sector.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, developers, and financial institutions, to secure and optimize investment deals.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the performance of investments and the overall portfolio.
- Funding sources, debt and equity: Identify and arrange alternative resources of debt and equity. Fit for purpose/debt and equity for different classes of assets
- Group Financial Controller support: Management of the finance team, annual statutory compliance, payroll, including financial audit and tax compliance
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on property development is a benefit
- Expertise: Proven track record in strategic investment planning, portfolio management, and deal execution.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
